SNaP! Where we always have fun!
Shorashim, Nitzanim and Pre-Kadima, or SNaP for short, is Congregation Or Shalom’s Thursday after school program for children in Junior Kindergarten through to Grade Five. The program takes place from 4:00pm to 5:30pm every Thursday during the school year and is open to all children in the Jewish community.
Each week the SNaP kids have fun with the ten youth staff. Filled with crafts, science experiments, sports, baking, or just playing around, the programs are based on the weekly Parsha, Jewish holidays, Israel or any other fun Jewish related topic.
We’ve made fun crafts such as Honey Bees, Shabbat Candle Holders, Kiddush Cups and Bird Feeders for Shabbat Shira. We’ve experimented with rainbow colours for Parsha Noach, made edible trees for Tu b’shevat, become Jewper Heroes and played the Ten Plagues Relay Race.
